Laura Von Burns
If you ever meet Laura, you will know exactly why she draws like she does. She looks like one of her pieces of art, quirky and beautiful. She draws (no pun intended) clear influence from pin-up art, comic books, film noir and even Studio Ghibli, yet her work has all of these little dark and fantastic twists, for example, the third picture, displaying a dagger entwined in the girl's hair.
Having met Laura a handful of times, I can also confirm she is a gem of a person, which is very important to me when publishing work. We like nice people at The Curiosity Cabinet. We like nice people with talent. I think we can all agree, this girl has talent.

You can see more of Laura's work at www.facebook.com/LauraVonBurns or at her website, www.LauraVonBurns.com. You can contact her by email (why not commission her for some art? Also I'm convinced her drawings would make beautiful tattoos - just an idea) [email protected] and you can see her blog at Blogs.LauraVonBurns.com
Laura Von Burns
Laura Von Burns is a quirky, comic book loving illustrator from Liverpool. She has a unique and interesting style of illustration that clashes pin up, comic book, traditional illustration and bright bold colours. She has been a fan of art and design since she laid hands on a pen, and has recently graduated from LJMU with a degree in illustration. Not only has illustration played a big part in her childhood, but she is now trying to pursue a career as a freelance graphics designer.
For her work she uses fine liners, brush pens and photoshop to create her bold, unique styles. She specialises in character design (especially sexy ladies) as well as mini comic books.
