Andrew John Craven
Welcome to the world of Andrew John Craven, an illustrator living in Manchester. Inspired by subcultures such as Goth & Steampunk, Andrew creates his work with vintage colours that echo something you would find in a dusty old box. This is a good thing. Looking at his illustrations, I imagine his mind to be a like the inside of a gorgeous antique pocket watch with constantly turning cogs. Here are some of Andrew's beautiful pieces for your enjoyment:

I like to explore new ideas...if such a thing is possible in this big world of wouldbe creators....and I experiment with fashion that very much owes itself to my fascination in the retro wardrobe. My work is by and large about people. Within this design work of fashion, characters, you could say, are being created. But sometimes real people are depicted that to me puts a new edge on a piece of art for it drags fiction to earth. Indeed my style is fictitious...but fashion is more factual than you think for it is the people who shape society in the way they wear their clothes and create the atmosphere with it. Albeit those clothes are accessorized with technology that likewise is styled in more ways than one. The relationship with (wo)man and machine thing!
